Seehotel-Helgoland

The room was clean, and the recently renovated bathroom was small but comfortable and perfectly adequate. Older guests may find the stairs a bit challenging, since there’s no elevator, which isn’t possible in the listed building. The luggage was brought straight to our room, a very considerate touch. Mark and Jacqueline are the warmest, most welcoming hoteliers I’ve met in countless stays. From arrival onward, they and the whole team made us feel looked after. Breakfast was simple, lovingly prepared, and filling rather than pompous, and we enjoyed it. Each day had a different theme, reflected in small touches across the buffet. The women serving in the breakfast room were incredibly attentive. We really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to them and the whole team.

A prime location, a good breakfast buffet, and friendly staff make this a very nice hotel. Hospitality is clearly a priority here.

We spent three nights at the Seehotel as a family of three and felt at home right away. It has a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where you can arrive and unwind. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. The welcome was warm, and that genuine friendliness continued throughout our stay. The whole team was kind and attentive, always making us feel at ease. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit and would love to return. The owners are helpful, capable, friendly, and open-minded, and they’re always available and willing to make almost anything possible. Breakfast had plenty of choice, was regularly replenished, and special requests were met whenever possible. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and did a great job. We felt very comfortable in this centrally located hotel with its lake view. The modern room and balcony were clean and cool without feeling uncomfortable, and there was enough storage. The capsule coffee machine was refilled every day, the minibar was well stocked, and its prices were reasonable. The changing towel decorations on the bed were a daily surprise. Thank you for a lovely stay. The hotel concept is changing from 2026. We’re excited, like the sound of it, and look forward to enjoying it next year.
