We come here when visiting Hinterzarten. The buffet frühstück is excellent, with fresh waffles and eggs made to order, and the Wi-Fi worked great. It’s near bike and hiking paths and town amenities, and we had fun riding their Ebikes. The rooms were clean and are due to be updated next year. For what you get, the price is the best in town. Alex was a great host, sharing information ahead of time and helping us throughout the stay.

The decor is pretty old, though the bathroom was new, and everything was super clean. It was quiet, with fresh air, and the location was great for an easy walk into town or onto the hiking paths right outside. We had a lovely weekend.

The pool is huge and the water is hot, and the only sounds around are cows in the fields. It’s peaceful, and we had a great time here with my wife and our two children. The owner is great and the service was very good. Dogs are allowed, even in the restaurant, which is handy. Breakfast is simple but very good, with quality local food. I’d recommend this place for families. The hotel has a new owner, so don’t rely on earlier customer comments.

The Wi-Fi is limited and doesn’t work everywhere in the hotel. Still, it’s an amazing, peaceful, quiet spot in the middle of the Black Forest, and the hosts are lovely. We’ll definitely come back.
