The attic apartment was roomy and clean, and even the little balcony was pleasant in the rain. The hosts were very friendly, and the location is nicely central. The small restaurant in Schlag is an easy walk away; it has been listed in the Varta and Michelin gourmet guides since last year.

Mrs. Wildfeuer’s suggestions for restaurants, hiking paths, and sights were first-rate, and the area has a lot to offer, though you definitely need a car. The Wildfeuer couple made us feel truly at home with their warm welcome. Everything was very clean and well equipped, and we slept wonderfully on the excellent mattresses. We were initially disappointed by the apartment’s size, but adjusted fairly quickly. We’ve only been home two days and already miss Landhaus Wildfeuer. We hated leaving and would love to return.

We felt right at home for the week. The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

There’s lots of space, the hosts are friendly, and the surroundings are beautiful. Dogs are allowed, and we saw deer in the morning and evening. Hiking trails and shops are nearby, and there’s plenty more to say.

We love coming back to the Bavarian Forest every year to stay with the Wildfeuer family. It’s always a wonderful, memorable visit, with everything top-notch: quality, service, cleanliness, location, and price. Families with children will enjoy it too.
