Gästehaus Seeblick

Breakfast was generous, with everything we could ask for. We especially liked the homemade salads, spreads, and jams, and you can also order scrambled or fried eggs. The staff were very friendly and gave us great advice for day trips. They even unlocked the shop for us so we could buy souvenirs, and it’s worth a visit in its own right. We had the apartment with its own entrance. It was lovely, clean, and very spacious, with plenty of storage, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. The heating and garden door showed slight signs of age, but neither bothered us. The lake view was fantastic. Langenargen is beautiful, with the park around Montfort Castle a nice place to linger. The guesthouse is well located for the train station and trips to Bregenz, Zurich, Konstanz, and Lindau. In summer, the heated pool in the lovely garden is another place to relax. We’d stay again, and thank you for your hospitality.

The ground-floor apartment was lovely and spacious, and we felt right at home there. It was older and hadn’t been renovated, but it had everything: two bedrooms, a kitchen, two toilets, and an outdoor exit. We first spent a week in a room on the second floor. It was beautifully renovated, but too cramped for an 11-day stay, and the straight-backed chairs weren’t comfortable for evenings in the room. As a senior, I really need a proper chair or sofa. Breakfast was decent and enough to eat, but €30 each day for a sandwich and tea for two was simply too much. The routine was very predictable and sometimes crowded. For less money, you can have a delicious breakfast out at one of the many restaurants. All in all, though, it’s a wonderful apartment and worth a visit.

The covered little pool was a lovely place to relax, and breakfast was much more varied than we expected. There was fresh salad and fruit, cold cuts, cheese, boiled, fried, or scrambled eggs, and sometimes white sausages with pretzels. On Sundays they even served fresh pancakes. Coffee, two kinds of juice, and water were available too. We stayed eight days and felt completely at ease. Our lake-view double room with a small balcony wasn’t large, but it was perfectly adequate, clean, well equipped, and cozy. The glass sliding bathroom door saved space, though it didn’t offer much privacy. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. She welcomed us warmly, showed us around the house, and explained everything. We’d definitely come back for another enjoyable stay.

We spent five nights at the Seeblick guesthouse and had a lovely room. Breakfast was delicious, and waking up to the lake view each morning was hard to beat. We had parking for both the car and our bikes. We’d definitely recommend the house.
