Haus Apfelblute

It’s very quiet here, with friendly, helpful hosts and an uncomplicated stay. There’s a bakery and farm shop just around the corner. The kitchen has enough equipment, including a microwave and dishwasher, and it’s good value for money. Our guest cards were issued in advance and were already waiting for us, which was good service. The kitchen basics were a bit sparse. We had to run the dishwasher half full every day because there weren’t enough plates, cups, or cutlery. That isn’t environmentally friendly, and it would be nice to have a few more basics. There were enough pots, pans, and utensils. There were too few, or no, insect screens. Ventilating in the evenings or at night was practically impossible because we’d immediately have 20 mosquitoes in the room, or 20 flies in the apartment while cooking. The second bedroom is in the attic and heats up quickly without an exterior blind, which should be added. The description says the price includes final cleaning. Even so, we were expected to wash the dishes, take out the trash, and vacuum the apartment. We always put away the trash and dishes anyway, as that’s just good manners, but in my opinion vacuuming should be part of the paid cleaning service.

For our trip to the Lake Constance Cycle Marathon, our group of five rented one holiday apartment in Haus Apfelblüte and another in Haus Albert. Both were spacious, clean, and well furnished. The upper part of the village is a great location, with three good restaurants and a bakery practically next door. The very friendly, helpful host family also made our short break a success. We’d love to return!

A beautiful place to stay, very spacious and clean, with everything you need on site. The owners are very friendly, and there are animals here too.

The landlords were really nice, and the place was clean and easy to get to. A great stay.
