The beds were fine, and I slept really well. Shared bathrooms get cleaned every day, though the cleaning isn’t very thorough. The location is handy, right by the train station, with the center just across it and easy to reach on foot. It’s an old building, so you hear every door opening and closing and every footstep on the stairs throughout the house. Light sleepers should bring earplugs. I didn’t try breakfast, since good German bakeries were so close.

The staff made this hostel for me. They were welcoming, friendly, and knew their stuff. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice, and guests can use the kitchen to cook. It’s on the same street as the main train station and a short walk from the city center. I’d stay again.

The only thing I didn’t like was the ban on sleeping bags. Otherwise, I’d happily return, especially for the location near the central station. I arrived at night without any trouble thanks to the 24-hour reception. The staff were polite and explained what I needed to do before checkout. The facilities were clean, and my sheets and towels were on the bed. There are several outlets by each bed for charging devices. Breakfast costs €4, though you can also use the kitchen for free.

The kitchen was clean and had the utensils we needed, plus a fridge, oven, and microwave. There are separate ladies’ and gents’ toilets on every floor. The building is old and has no elevator, so since my room was on the second floor I left my suitcase at check-in, where there are luggage racks. My stay in the six-bed female dorm was good, and I met some nice people. The staff were friendly. It’s a decent, reasonably comfortable hostel and good value for money.
