Hentschels Apartments

The bathroom heater is incredibly noisy, and the bed is far too small for two people and uncomfortably soft. Though the rooms may look nice, the apartment has an unpleasant smell, like an old attic mixed with something sweet and moldy. For exactly the same price, you could get a room at an NH Hotel in Leipzig (Messe) including breakfast.

The check-in reception is in another building, 400m away and closer to the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) than the apartment. I missed that before making a non-refundable booking, so I dragged my luggage to the apartment and then had to walk back to reception. With heavy bags, that’s a lot of extra effort for a solo traveller. The owner could make things easier by sending check-in instructions in a reminder email before guests arrive.

The receptionist was especially unkind, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I booked an apartment at the same adress as last time because the parking was good. This time I booked the suite on the same page, but got a different location without parking, and they wouldn’t change it. I also paid 10€ per day for my dog, but they refused to refund that money even though my dog wasn’t in the apartment.

The guests were satisfied and there were no problems. I’d recommend contacting the hotel directly, since the famous Booking service failed.
