6/10
The room was huge, comfortable, very clean, and well serviced. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was generous, and the location made it easy to reach sights and transport. It was good value for money, too. The name 'Royal' had raised my expectations, though, and the overall decor and ambience felt a bit dated and could use a refresh.

The rooms are huge, with a small kitchen, and extremely clean. Breakfast was very good, with five or six waitresses. The staff were excellent, too. Compared with Italian hotels, this one deserves 10 stars. Beautiful hotel.

We were confused about checkout: booking.com showed 12:00 PM, while the hotel manager said 11:00 AM, so we were asked to leave our rooms earlier than we expected. After checkout, we also couldn't find anywhere to store our luggage, which seemed like a basic amenity. Our stay at the Total International hotel in Leipzig was disappointing. The evening manager wasn't helpful, and the door locks were a particular frustration. All three rooms we booked had the same problem. We asked for help during the night, but the manager didn't come by. The single room was subpar, honestly worse than some dormitories I've stayed in.

The hotel was old, with dirty carpets, and a leaking tap in our room soaked them. There was mold and a sewage smell throughout. We had to find different accommodation on the second day, though unfortunately we had to spend the first night there.

The breakfast, included in the price, had terrific variety. The rooms were big and clean.
