For the low price, you get a nice room that works really well for travelers.

The place felt neglected and pretty old, and it wasn't clean. I had guests staying there, but I wouldn't recommend it, even in an emergency.

We only stayed two nights because we were working nearby and our original accommodation suddenly had water damage. There were two of us, both electricians who don't ask for much, but even our basic expectations weren't met. The whole place was filthy, grimy, and dirty. Our noses ran and we kept sneezing the entire time in the room, so it's not suitable for people with allergies. There was just one bathroom for everyone. We felt it would be more hygienic to shower at a motorway rest stop. The shared kitchen was badly dirty too, and nobody seemed to care. The one upside was getting a free allergy test, as we joked. We can't recommend this accommodation. The photos we took right after arriving show the rest.

The bathroom and kitchen were in particularly bad shape: the bathroom, shared by almost 10 people, was cleaned only once a week, and not very thoroughly. The kitchen was completely filthy and greasy. The whole place felt very unhygienic, and the refrigerator in our room did too. The accommodation is basic, with somewhat dated furnishings and a building that seems to be occupied long term by groups of Eastern European workers. Guests share a bathroom with shower and toilet, and the kitchen has an adjoining "beer garden." Rooms have a TV, Wi-Fi, and a refrigerator. The landlord is very friendly, but seems to have given up on keeping the place clean and tidy, leaving that to the guests. It was unfortunately very dirty, likely because the guests appeared to care more about the low price than general cleanliness.

We were very happy with the value for money at Biggi's Waldpension. It's not a hotel, but it suited us perfectly, and the prices aren't exorbitant. Our thanks to the Burmeister family at Biggi's Waldpension. Karin and Werner Kohlmeier, February 20, 2023. It's a cozy, family-friendly guesthouse for people who don't need a lot of comfort. Tradespeople stay there during the week, while weekends are comfortable and cozy. The shower and toilet are outside the room, which didn't bother us. There's a large kitchen with its own TV, a nice spot to sit in the evenings with friends staying there too. Breakfast costs extra, but there's plenty of it and a good choice: fresh rolls, boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, tea, and more. There's also a TV in the room.
