Atrium Hotel Munich

The lobby had a nice ambiance, and the location worked well for our Christmas markets visit, but the WiFi was very spotty. The 6th floor room was also a serious problem: on one half, an adult could not reasonably stand upright. I don’t think that’s acceptable at full price. We asked to move on our first night and were told no other rooms were available. They said we should have checked in earlier or told them our heights in advance, 5’11” and 6’3”. I feel the low ceiling should have been disclosed when booking. We had left our bags around 11am, so they had already seen us earlier in the day and could have planned accordingly. The elevator only goes to the 5th floor, so you have to carry luggage up a flight of stairs to reach the 6th. The hotel only provides air conditioning in summer, and the 6th floor was very warm with the heat rising. If you stay here, I recommend doing anything you can to avoid the 6th floor.

We booked at the last minute after missing our train connection, just by chance. It turned out to be a great hotel, close to Munich Hbf, and the staff were helpful, especially Tugce. We’ll definitely use it again when we’re around. Thank you.

A fairly cheap hotel almost next to the main train station, with a great price-to-value ratio. The rooms and the rest of the interior look nice and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff were nice and friendly, and the location is excellent, within walking distance of the central station. There are supermarkets, a drug store, and lots of restaurants and imbiss nearby. I never felt in danger in the neighborhood, though I didn’t wander around after dark. It seemed to me like an immigrant neighborhood with people from the Middle East. If you’re traveling with elderly parents or grandparents who aren’t open-minded, this might not be the right place. The WiFi kept disconnecting every 30-40 minutes, so I had to reconnect each time. The rooms are a bit small, though that’s normal for a big city hotel. The bed and pillows were too soft for me and caused some back and neck pain, but I know that comes down to personal preference.
