H+ Hotel Muenchen City Centre

Anna, one of the staff onsite, was incredible. She was very helpful and gave good advice. That’s where the positives ended. Calling this a four-star hotel is laughable. Budget chains like Ibis, Holiday Inn, and Travelodge are vastly better in quality. The towels were disgraceful, and we got two-ply toilet paper with only one replacement for three days. If you ask the front attendant for more, he rolls his eyes and acts as though the task is terribly stressful. We stayed four nights during Oktoberfest, and it was a huge mistake. Clearly they use that time of year to cash in, charge five times the rate, and treat guests like garbage. Yes, we know rates go up then. Apart from the first person, who was amazing, I feel the rest of the staff contributed to this being the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. A big claim, but I stand by it. Also, be aware of the neighborhood. The location is convenient for the old town and near the Oktoberfest grounds, especially if you’re traveling then.

We booked late at night after our train was delayed by more than two hours and we missed the last train home. Being close to Munich Central Station made it a convenient option. The room was clean and tidy, breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, and the receptionists were friendly. The rest of the staff were supportive too. My family and I really liked our stay.

The hotel itself was clean and nice, but the stay was awful because we never felt safe around the location, even during the day. We saw groups of men in the streets, heard men shouting after us, and nearly got robbed in the parking area when two guys followed us to our car. The hotel said parking was available, but it was five minutes away and cost extra, though they did give us a discount. The parking area also smelled strongly of urine. A terrible experience all around.

We spent a week here and would happily return. The neighborhood had plenty of food nearby, and we felt safe there. The hotel is modern, the location near Hauptbahnhof is excellent, and the front desk team and other staff were friendly and informative in several languages.
