The 4you Hostel & Hotel Munich

The service was impeccable and the rooms were great. It's not the fanciest place, but the location was perfect for me. I'm really happy with my stay and glad I picked it.

I came mainly for the price and location and didn't expect much, but the rooms are clean and cozy. Mine had hot water, a hair dryer, and ironing equipment. The roof rooms have a nice view, and the windows, including their metal curtains, work well for letting in fresh air. There's also a kettle with tea and instant coffee packets. You get a voucher for a first drink at the bar, either alcoholic beer or a non-alcoholic option. For Munich, it's a very good price, and the location is great, about a 10-minute walk from the central bus and train station for the airport.

The rooms and beds were clean, and the free luggage room was handy for leaving our bags before and after the stay. We were there for a few nights. Being right by Munich Hbf is convenient, though the street the hostel is on felt shady. There isn't a kitchen for travelers, just a small dining area. Each night comes with a free drink card, redeemable for any drink from the reception fridge or coffee machine. Noise carries easily through the room door. A school class on our floor slammed doors and shouted late into the night. Reception could have put them together on one floor to avoid disturbing other guests. The bathroom was okay, but there was nowhere to put clothes in the shower, and leaving them outside felt strange. The fixed shower head got everything in the cabin wet, and there was no shelf for shampoo, skincare, or valuables. At the sinks, there were no towels or tissues, only a hand dryer that didn't look very hygienic. The receptionists seemed uninterested and didn't explain anything when we arrived. We stayed as a group for one night, then as a pair for a few more, so we had to check in twice. They also didn't collect the details of the other people staying at the hostel, only of the person named on the reservation.

The service matches the price, and the staff are friendly. If you're on a budget and need to be near the train station, this is an ideal place to stay.
