We stopped for a meal and beer about 15-20 minutes' drive from the city centre. The atmosphere was fun and busy without feeling anxious, and a local ban played folk music. It was a very good first German pub experience. We ordered just three meals for our family of four, which turned out to be lucky because the portions were massive. Each cost around 18 euros, which seemed reasonable, and the quality was fantastic.

There's a nice garden and a children's playground, and we'll visit again. The room was much bigger and cleaner than expected, and free parking in the city was really nice. The staff were friendly, especially the restaurant servers, and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful for a fair price. All three were cooked gently, and the cheese went well with them. They also packed up the leftovers carefully.

The food was delicious and the service excellent, and the guys at the hotel were very nice. The room was a great deal, but we paid the price for it. Ours was a terrible, tiny attic-like room way up on the 3rd floor. The shower was about three feet off the floor, there was no room for a bath, and the curtain kept sticking to my tush, you know? I bumped my head and nose on the slanted wall. Across the street, a church rings its giant bell every 15-30 minutes, 165 times. If you can tune it out, fine. The bells stop after 10pm, then start again at 6am. We didn't know about that, and they told us to get used to it.
