Buddy Hotel

The room was small but usable, though people who are disorganized might find it hard to settle in. We’d read the review beforehand and got everything organized on day one, then had an excellent stay. Breakfast includes croissants and some fruit, and there’s a coffee maker in the room. The location is great. Check-in was a little confusing because the receptionist wasn’t very patient while explaining the self-service machine to a foreigner, but we got it working in the end.

The rooms are very compact, but clean and equipped with everything you need, including a coffee machine. It’s close to the city centre and train station, which suited us perfectly, and is a good choice for one or two nights. I wouldn’t recommend a longer stay. The man at reception when we arrived was really grumpy, though the other man there at checkout was much friendlier.

Clean, safe and quiet, this was a good place for our last night in Munich near the train station. There’s a tube stop right outside the front door, though the Christmas Markets were a bit of a walk. The place felt very yellow and geared toward younger budget travelers, with no amenities. The bathroom was great, but getting into the shower meant stepping up quite a lot, so it’s fine for people without mobility issues.

The morning croissants and pretzels were a nice extra, and Buddy Hotel Munich worked well for getting around since it’s right in the center. The room size is the main tradeoff: it’s very small, as the booking details say, and bigger bags make it feel cramped fast. With light luggage it’s manageable. I had a good stay, especially for a short visit or traveling solo when location matters more than space.
