The breakfast was good, and the front desk woman was kind enough to bring us fresh sheets. But I don’t think the room had been cleaned before we arrived. The beds were stained with fluids. When we took off one sheet, there was unwashed blood on the mattress protector, not just a stain. She removed it but didn’t know what else to do. Underneath, the mattress also had fluid stains. There were no other rooms, and the room smelled of cigarettes. We told management the next morning, and they cleaned it all again, but offered no compensation. I’ve never felt grosser after a first night somewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

You can walk to restaurants and other basics nearby, and the hotel has parking out front, though spaces can be limited at busy times. Front parking costs 4 euros per night, or you can use the garage under the building for 8 euros a night. The rooms have no air conditioning, not even a window unit, so they get stuffy in summer and stay that way overnight. Be careful opening the window, though, since uninvited guests might come in. See my pictures. The bathroom is odd: a low shower head, a movable plexi-glass barrier and a tub set higher than the floor, which makes getting out tricky when everything’s wet. Everything feels old and outdated. You need a physical door key to get into the rooms, and the door locks behind you every time, so don’t leave the key inside. It’s a budget hotel with great access to Munich and Oktoberfest. If comfort and a modern feel matter more, you may want to look at other properties.

Breakfast was great, and the shower worked well. The room was roomy and had the basics, while the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. They can provide DB train tickets, so you don't have to buy them at the station. Getting around was easy: the nearest station is two blocks away, and the S train takes about 20 minutes to reach Marienplatz. The same train goes to MUN airport. I stayed May 30 to June 2. There was no air conditioning, and I couldn't open the window because there were no mosquito nets and bugs came in. My room faced away from the restaurants, but I suspect a front-facing room could be noisy.

The station right beside the hotel was handy, though the traffic and sirens made it a bit noisy. The place was comfortable enough for what I needed, but it looked very dated and had mold in several spots. The bathroom had old white tiles, plenty of mold, and a leaking shower. It could really use some renovation. I'd recommend it if you're after a reasonably comfortable stay and aren't too particular about cleanliness.
