The location is convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the old town, but there's a small square right outside where people gather late into the night. Between them and the traffic, the noise was pretty unbearable. We chose this place partly because our stay at the Bob W Milan had been so pleasant, so this was a real letdown. There was no service at all since everything is self-serviced, and no kettle in the room. The shower head wouldn't stay in place, and earlier comments suggest this ongoing problem hasn't been fixed. The sheets also felt coarse and worn, with pilling and textures that didn't match the pillows or duvet covers.

We were pleasantly surprised by the communication and help through WhatsApp before, during, and after our stay, especially for a hotel without a front desk. The garage across the street was convenient once we worked out that payment was made at the gas station. The downtown location put lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our room and bathroom were clean and modern. This was the only hotel on our two-week Europe trip that provided hair conditioner. We also loved the free tote, though I understand that feature is changing.

The best thing about this hotel is how close it is to Isartor station, just a two-minute walk. Our room, though, was tiny, and paying extra for a courtyard view put us on the first floor with a door straight onto the courtyard. That didn't feel very safe. The door was also coming loose from its hinges and nearly fell when opened. There's no receptionist or staff in sight, and we found the TV had no remote. We looked everywhere, which wasn't hard in a room that felt about two feet by two feet. Nobody picked up the help number or called us back. A receptionist or even a remote in the room would have helped. There was no room service either.

Bob W, more like Bob L. The room was cramped, but at first it seemed fine for our three-night stay. That evening, we found it much hotter than the outside temperature of 10-12deg C. We couldn't find air conditioning, and staff told us the only way to cool the apartment was to switch off the underfloor heating. They suggested opening the window, which helped for a while but brought in the noise from a busy street and a tram squealing around the bend every 20 minutes. I hadn't expected to sleep with the windows open and no blankets in the second week of March. The shower head wouldn't stay put, and the elevator smelled of wet dog. We were ready to leave. I'm all for climate neutrality, but not at the cost of the guest experience. I'd seriously reconsider staying here in the warmer months.

We liked being able to walk around from the hotel, while still staying just outside the main city area. A train station was very close, making it easy to get to the airport and other parts of town. The rooms were modern and great, and the virtual entry to the building and rooms was simple. There was no staff on site, which didn't bother us. More laundry service would be my only suggestion, though I know it's meant to be a no-frills stay.
