I've stayed at Numa in several other cities, but my time at Numa in Munich was disappointing. There are nearby hotels in a similar price range that are much better quality. I'd still stay at Numa, just not at this location.

We spent three nights at Numa Munich Blend in September, in room 203. The room photos made it look better than it was, and ours felt a bit scuffed and tired. On arrival I found discarded hair care sachets from previous guests in the shower, which made me wonder how thoroughly the rest had been cleaned. The shower head was broken and sprayed water to one side. In the basement, the Essentials room had no spare toilet paper or dish detergent. The common areas could use more cleaning too: bird feathers in the second floor lift lobby were still there throughout our three day stay. There was a lot of construction going on, and it's a noisy area even aside from that. Some people may also find the neighborhood unsafe. The street entrance wasn't well lit or clearly marked. USB sockets by both sides of the bed would be a nice addition. There were some useful things as well. Check in with the Numa app was easy, though remember to find your room PIN in email ahead of time. The kitchenette had the basics, and I appreciated the Nespresso machine and pods. The bathroom was a good size. Both doors into the lift lobby, the main entrance and the lift lobby door, needed a PIN. Public transport was convenient, with a supermarket across the road. The external blinds, good wifi, and We Wash machine in the basement were also appreciated. The laundry machine is accessed through the WeWash app.

There's plenty of room for a family of four, and I liked the design and handy little kitchenette. The basement has lockers, extra towels and tea, plus a public washroom, which was useful. We walked from the train station and to Marienplatz, and had a supermarket and restaurants right downstairs. The area seemed lively, with lots of Middle Eastern food. It felt fairly clean and secure, and we enjoyed the place. Signing up with Numa was a bit tedious and had to be done before arrival day. We were fine carrying our bags up one flight since the elevator only went to the second highest floor, but that could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. My only reason for taking a star off for location is the loud sirens from emergency vehicles when the windows are open.

We've stayed with Numa before and really like the concept, but this particular location didn't work for us. It's essentially in Munich's red light district, and at night we felt uneasy walking back past so many people drinking and crowding the streets. We'd recommend the place overall, just look at one of their other locations.

My room at Numa Blend was comfortable, very quiet, and very clean, with excellent WiFi and good air conditioning. Getting in was a different story: a tiny, unwelcoming street door led into a grim garage, followed by two more doors. It felt creepy. Booking, check in, and check out were all online, so there was no human contact at all. When I visited in Aug 2025, this part of Munich was a huge construction site. It may be worth avoiding until around 2030, when the work might be finished. The surrounding area felt rough and showed little, if any, of Munich's traditional Bavarian heritage. The old town was about a 10-minute walk through construction, and building works continued there too. I'd avoid Munich until the end of the decade!
