Pension Belo Sono

It's a quiet building in a safe neighborhood, with a good number of bars and restaurants nearby. The U-Bahn gets you to central Munich in about 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a very nice stay. The long-term rooms are basically fully serviced apartments, while the regular overnight rooms are quite nice and come with some amenities. Totally recommend.

The location is quiet and residential, with shops and restaurants close by. The U-Bahn is a five-minute walk, easy to use once you figure it out, and then it's another 5-10 minutes into the city centre. Check-in was straightforward during the allotted hours, and there's a key drop box for check-out. Staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped, so cooking a decent meal is no problem. There was enough clothes storage for a week for two, broadband was fine, and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The TV is small with only a few channels, but I wasn't there to watch TV. Beds felt soft to me, though that's personal preference. I had trouble with the bathroom plug because I wasn't familiar with it. The place was clean and comfortable overall. I'd recommend it for singles or couples depending on the room, though people with mobility issues may find some steps and getting in and out of the shower difficult.

For the price, I didn't expect to be this close to everything. The main station is about a 15-20 minute walk or two subway stops away, with the city centre and Theresienwiese close by too. The pension is near some lovely cafes and restaurants. My room was clean, comfortable, and a good size, and the shared bathroom was clean as well.

The metro is only a few minutes away, with lots of restaurants, bakeries, and a shopping mall with public parking nearby. Parking can be tricky, but the host sent us a few addresses in advance, so we didn't waste time looking. There used to be a Coffee Shop in the building. We went to the Zöttl bake shop and Cafe just down the street, which we liked better than the bakery on the way to the metro. Our family had a really good stay at Pension Belo Sono and would definitely come back in summer for a long weekend with our dog Bailey. We booked a two-bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor with a private bathroom, kitchen, and balcony. There's no lift, but that wasn't a problem for us. The bathroom was small, though the single room had a second washbasin, which was great for our daughter so she could get ready without holding up the bathroom. I don't know if other rooms have that too. The double room was big enough for two, and the balcony was a nice extra, though it was too cold to use it. Our trip from Augsburg to Munich was delayed, so we called and they arranged a late check-in. It was easy to get in touch, thanks to the emergency WhatsApp number for urgent issues after 18:00. The kitchen worked well for breakfast, though we never cooked dinner. When we asked for a toaster on our first morning, it arrived that same day. They sorted out everything we asked for. We didn't need cleaning because the apartment had cleaning supplies, but asked for fresh towels on the third day. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel. We saw the cleaner each morning and office staff in the afternoons. When we had a morning question or didn't want to go downstairs, we emailed and got a quick reply. I'm not sure how this works on weekends, since they only work Monday to Friday.
