There was no one at reception much of the time, and the managers wanted cash even though the hotel says it accepts popular bank cards. The staff also need to learn some politeness and basic communication manners. During the week, our bed linen and towels were never changed. When an old bathroom faucet broke, reception demanded that we pay for it. The whole place smelled of old cigarette smoke, and the elevator often broke down despite running only about two hours a day, when guests no longer needed it. Our colleague got stuck inside and the door had to be forced open. The shower cubicle was so tiny that anyone XXL should forget about fitting in. I strongly don't recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was great, and the metro is close by. Beyond that, I wasn't impressed. In the separate room building, the main entrance door has no lock, so anyone can get in, and there isn't an elevator if you're carrying big bags to the second floor. The rooms were cold, with an extremely outdated heating system, and the water temperature was a gamble: some days it was lukewarm at best, other days hot. There are no amenities, water or coffee, and the rooms aren't soundproof. I kept waking at 6 a.m. to alarms in nearby rooms. For the price, it wasn't good value.

The metro station is right opposite the hotel, which is the best thing about it. The rooms and bathrooms are cramped, and there's nothing in the room: no coffee maker, water or fridge. Sound carries easily, so I could hear people walking in the next room and the lobby. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good and had a wide selection.

Getting to the metro was easy, and the hotel was clean, with good internet, rooms and beds. Breakfast was nice too. I especially appreciated the kind woman at the restaurant. She was welcoming and happy to help, even with the language barrier.

Staff were nice, and the breakfast was good, though it ends at 9:30, which can feel a bit rushed. The subway is directly in front of the hotel and gets you to the city center easily. A taxi can cost up to 15 euros and take a while because of traffic and all the red lights.
