San Remo Fine.Food.Hotel

I’ve travelled around Germany for work for over 15 years and stayed in plenty of places, and this is honestly the best. It’s a shame they don’t have locations in other parts of Germany. The hotel and restaurant are family run, and there’s something special about them. Everyone was welcoming and very nice. I can’t remember their names, but the kind lady who made my eggs was especially lovely. The food was excellent. I stayed four nights and ate dinner at the hotel three times, with fantastic quality and service each time. My room was comfortable, clean, and well presented. This is probably Nuremberg’s best-kept accommodation secret, and I’ll definitely stay again when I’m visiting the nearby exhibition. Thanks to all of you for making a work trip feel like a holiday. The restaurant is a little outside Nürnberg, but it’s definitely a lovely place. Service was quick and really friendly, and the food was well prepared and good. The portions and prices felt fair. The menu leans Mediterranean, especially Italian. One tip: if you order the Troccoli in Forma de Parmigiano, have it plain. Don’t let them add the mushroom sauce.

I’ve tried five or six of the main dishes, and every one has been good. The grilled seafood and cheese wheel pasta are my favourites. You need at least two people for the pasta made in the cheese wheel, but if you’re dining alone, the other pastas and ravioli are great options too. My favourite dessert is the limoncello. :)
