Leonardo Hotel Nuernberg

Our room was neat and clean, and we enjoyed the stay. The view wasn’t great, though, and construction outside sometimes made enough noise that we couldn’t open the windows. The staff were kind, friendly and cooperative. It was also a plus that someone was always at reception whenever we needed anything. :))

The restaurant area is fantastic, and the rooms and service were good. Reception was very friendly and assigned us a room and the other things we needed for check-in within five minutes. The main drawback, looking at every detail, is the location and things like the view.

The rooms are a bit worn, though the hotel is close to downtown. Staff were friendly until I asked for something to be done. The bedsheets weren’t changed for more than four nights. When I asked for the room to be cleaned, they only tidied it using the same sheets. After the sixth night I kept making the same request and got really pissed off. I had to stay in my room until someone came up to change the bedsheets and cover.

The receptionists were kind and friendly, and ready to respond to guests’ requests. My room was clean enough, and the complimentary bottle of water was nice. But the chair often made a terrible noise whenever I moved while sitting, and I could hear the same kind of noise from neighboring rooms, which got annoying. During my stay, which ended about a week ago, I asked reception to keep a plastic bag with 11 packages of cheese in the hotel fridge because there was nowhere in the room to keep it cool. I got the bag back before leaving, but later found two packages missing. Maybe they slipped out when the receptionist took the bag from the fridge and were left there. Even if that’s what happened, I’d already left the city and couldn’t collect them. I wanted to bring them home as souvenirs for family and friends, but that wasn’t possible, so the hotel can consume them now. A small fridge in each guest room would help prevent this kind of trouble.
