Oldtown Studios by dasPaul

For the price, the room’s amenities are just about acceptable, and the many structural problems are easy to overlook only if you ignore them. The toilet roll holder spins around, leaving the paper on the floor more often than in the holder. The toilet brush is broken and drips everywhere. Two shower seals are missing, so water floods the bathroom no matter what you try. Light stays on in the stairwell around the clock, and the windows facing it can’t be darkened. There are no mosquito nets, and the windows don’t open fully. It looks like the painters and tilers were working after hours. Booking breakfast was hardly worth it: the menu is practically nonexistent and overwhelmingly full of meat, cheese, and eggs. I’m repeating issues guests already posted on Google and Booking.com in 2022. At these prices, I don’t understand why the hotel still doesn’t listen to comments and requests.

My wife and I had a delightful weekend in Apartment 0101, a tastefully renovated modern space in a historic building. It has two large bedrooms, a kitchenette on the mezzanine, and a small but lovely bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of windows, and the lighting was well thought out. The apartment had all the amenities we needed. Everything in the old town’s central area, including the sights, was within walking distance. Check-in was online and contactless, with an app providing access to the building and apartment. Communication with reception was excellent; it’s around the corner at Hotel "dasPaul." We highly recommend this guesthouse.

They’re reachable by phone, email, or WhatsApp, which would be fine if they actually replied. Reading WhatsApp messages without answering them isn’t customer service.
