I wouldn't book this place again or recommend it. The reception was unfriendly, and check-in is only from 4 pm to 6 pm. Arriving earlier or later costs €50. The stairwell smelled bad despite smoking apparently being prohibited, and the front door stays open 24/7, so anyone can enter the building. The apartment was dirty, even though final cleaning costs €50. Advertised Wi-Fi was either unavailable or extremely poor, and everything was very outdated. It felt extremely overpriced for so little.

The apartment was generally very damp and had an unpleasant smell. Cleanliness and order left a lot to be desired: there was dog hair from the previous tenant on the sofa and floor, and hair in the yellowed bathtub. Not recommended.

The tour noise was the main drawback for us. A bike tour set off around the corner at 6:00 AM, was extremely loud, and went on for ages, waking all the children. That kitchen location also wasn't mentioned in the description, so I took off a star. Apart from that, the apartment was lovely, modern, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. The new property management was very helpful. The kitchen cupboards were packed with utensils, leaving little room for our groceries, though that seems common in vacation rentals.

A bike makes it easy to get to all the nearby places, though an e-bike would be useful for the final uphill stretch back to the apartment. You can also manage excursions without a car: there's a bus stop close by, with buses to Oberstdorf and the surrounding mountains.

The room setup wasn't as pictured online: there were bunk beds, and the sofa bed shown in the listing couldn't be used either. It wasn't suitable for older people, but we were allowed to switch rooms.
