Limehome Passau Bahnhofstraaye

A really cozy apartment with everything you need. The bed was just too small for my liking.

The location was great for a stopover, and for the price I’d stay again. It was a bit grubby, though. I’d stayed at limehome magdeburg before and hadn’t expected that.

The apartment is well equipped, with fast Wi-Fi, a working access system, and customer service that responded quickly and pleasantly. It’s right by the train station, very central, and a good walker can reach everything in Passau on foot. The area can be noisy even with the windows shut. There are sometimes homeless people and alcoholics nearby, and I saw people urinate within sight of the wall. Cleanliness and upkeep were a real letdown. On arrival the ceramic hob was smeared with grease, and it still was after a second cleaning. The kettle lid kept popping off. There was hair on the bathroom tiles and even the bed, a full ashtray from the previous guest, and a smeared terrace table. The tea towel was stained and dirty, the walls had lots of cuts and scratches, and a broken disassembled fan was left in a corner. The shoe rack was broken and lying around, and the terrace had a half-rusted coffee table that seemed to be ignored. Support replied quickly, was friendly, and said the reported problems would be fixed the next day. Some were, but not all, so more was promised than delivered. The concept is good, but the execution here was poor. I can’t say whether that’s true of limehome generally or just this location. It was my first booking and will probably be my last. All suites are on the building’s top floor and have no air conditioning. There’s a fan and outside shade, but mine was junk and unusable.

The rooms are functional, and the balcony gives you a great view over the city. Getting into the room takes several codes, which arrive on your phone very late.
