The owner seemed helpful, though we only saw them at check-in. The rooms were okay but a bit worn and oddly decorated, and the doors let through a lot of sound. Our room area had a bathroom with a towel we didn’t recognize, different from the usual hotel towels. There was a shared kitchen, but cooking wasn’t allowed. While we were out, the cleaning staff threw away a non-perishable food item we’d left there. They didn’t speak German or English. The place is easy to reach on foot from the nearest S-Bahn station, and bakeries and different kinds of supermarkets are only a few minutes away.

I paid around 140€. The room wasn’t for me: it had no bathroom, so I had to cross the corridor to use a very small one, and the shower there didn’t work well.

The food and drinks were great, with typical German dishes and a cool presentation, and the service was great too. For a few days in Potsdam, it’s a very good choice. The price is great and the rooms are okay for a night in a pension, but the bathroom was small and the old beds make noise.
