We came for hiking in the Alps and wanted somewhere away from the ski crowds. Haus Semleiten was just right. Walking trails start right behind the farm, with plenty of picturesque routes to choose from. The newly refurbished apartment has mountain views in every direction, and its huge balcony wraps around from east to south to west, so there’s sun to enjoy. Even in February we sat outside. The place is bright, spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped, with beautiful oak windows, doors, and floors. Marlena kept in touch before our trip and greeted us when we arrived. She explained everything clearly, and we appreciated that she spoke English. Since it’s the only guest apartment, the stay has a personal, friendly family feel. We loved it and can’t wait to return.
