Check-out was easy, we just left the key cards in the room. We found Hotel St. Georg a welcoming, comfortable place to stay, and highly recommend it to anyone stopping in or passing through Regensburg. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, with convenient parking, and the hotel is close to the highway, handy if you're continuing your journey after a restful night. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a complimentary bottle of water waiting for us. Reception was very welcoming when we arrived. We were traveling with our dog, and the receptionist had prepared a special treat for her, such a thoughtful gesture.

The room and breakfast were good, but parking couldn't fit our car with the rooftop suitcase on it because the height limit was 2m. We arrived at 22 in the evening after driving all day, with our small baby asleep. There was no baby bed in the room. We thought we'd reserved one with the booking, but staff kept saying it wasn't included and that we should have replied to an email we never received. They nearly sent us away, then at the last minute gave us a room where a baby bed had suddenly become available. There was no extra help or service. They didn't seem to care about a negative review or that we wouldn't come back. Not kind or helpful at all.

The bus stop is a five-minute walk away, and bus n° 2 goes to the city centre every 20min. It only takes a few minutes, and the bus is almost empty. You can pay the driver in cash, and get on or off through any door, just like in Poland. There are two proper grocery shops within walking distance too. The hotel's restaurant only serves organised groups and conferences, so individual guests need to eat locally or downtown. Our room (243) was good overall, with a nice view over the city suburbs and the hills beyond. The hotel was built in the 60's, the room had 90's decor, and it was hard to date the dining and reception areas, but we liked the style and old-time touches. We'd just spent two nights in an unexpectedly shubby, micro-size, hot and loud room in Ludwig's Hotel in Fussen, so having a spacious double room on the top floor with a proper desk, wardrobe, aircon and bathtub was a relief. The roads outside were noisy from heavy traffic, so I had to keep the window shut, but after Ludwig's Hotel that no longer bothered me. The aircon did make disturbing noises for a long time after use. The pillows were far too big and high for the mattress, which was medium soft rather than firm. I made myself a comfortable alternative from my husband's duvet, which he didn't need. We could hear our nextdoor neighbours talking through the wall. The Spanish receptionist was very nice and helpful, handled a high workload well, and deserves praise for her skills, including her good English. A man serving breakfast kindly let me take a coffee and tea before serving time. We were very satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it.

The rooms are massive, the bathrooms warm and nice, and parking is good. The pillows were way too big and uncomfortable. Staff understand English but don't want to speak it, though I don't mean the receptionists, they were cool. Not sure breakfast was worth 13€ per person and 10€ for a child, but....

We used the hotel for a school trip. It was perfectly placed for our partner school, and bus stops nearby made it easy to get into Regensburg city centre. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was great, and the staff were great too.
