The guesthouse was handy for getting around: it sits roughly between Warnemunde beach and Rostock's old city centre, and the nearby station has frequent trains in both directions. There's also a free car park behind the building, which usually has enough spaces. Restaurants for dinner are close by. I especially enjoyed the Chinese buffet, which was very reasonably priced. I stayed a couple of nights and had a pleasant time. The room was good, although the mattress was softer than I like. Maybe that's standard in Germany. Breakfast was good, German-style, and I liked it. Reception was helpful, though you're expected to handle most things yourself.

We thought it was worth the price, and the service was brilliant. The house is a little old, but you get what you see. From there it's a 10-minute walk to the train, then about 10 minutes down to Warnemünde. We stayed one night on our way to Sweden.

They've renovated the hotel, and it feels more like a young person's place now. Our room was really nice and clean, with its own bathroom and a mini kitchen. Free parking too. Can't ask for more.

Our room was a good size, with kitchen facilities and a dining table, so we shopped at the supermarket opposite and made dinner there. There are other shops and a few restaurants nearby as well. The building feels like a large old army barracks, with rooms along long corridors. Ours was right at the far end, and the promised wifi didn't work. We figured we were too far from the hub to get a signal. The hotel is out in a suburb, about a 40-minute tram ride from the centre, though the trams are cheap and frequent.
