I keep coming back here, mostly for the lovely interior and the view of the architecture from the window. There’s so much to look at, from the paintings to all the other little details, so it’s a nice place even if you’re on your own. The café is on a central street and opens at 9:00, earlier than many places nearby, which is a real plus. The menu is limited, with mostly sandwiches and paninis, plus seasonal dishes and soups. I wouldn’t come mainly for the coffee or food, though. The atmosphere is the real draw.

Everything feels cosy here, and the staff are so friendly and chatty. The homemade food is a lovely bonus. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back next year when we’re in Germany ☺️!

We had a great time here, especially with the coffee and the apple crumble paired with vanilla custard. The pairing was brilliant. It’s a warm, welcoming little coffee shop, and every corner feels cosy and carefully decorated. You can even buy some of the decorations to take home. A lovely stop when you’re visiting Rothenburg.

The soups and desserts are both wonderful, and I always make a point of stopping here when I’m in town. For me, it’s the most beautiful place around, with an amazing atmosphere. I’d recommend everything.

It was so busy and packed, but the waitresses stayed helpful and friendly. Our little one was thrilled to get the last slice of cheesecake he’d been hoping for, and we enjoyed all the cakes and drinks. The place is gorgeous too. We try to visit whenever we’re in Rothenburg, though getting a table isn’t always easy 😉
