The location is handy, just a 5-10 minute walk to the medieval town center and a short stroll from the Old Town gates. Free parking on site is a big help, since parking inside the walls is difficult. The rooms are spotless, with cozy beds and updated bathrooms. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the breakfast buffet had a great selection of fresh food. There’s no AC or fridge in the room, but for the price, comfort, and location, this hotel is a gem and great value. Highly recommended!

We had a really good one-night stay with our child. The free breakfast was nice, and there’s free parking on site. The city center is very close. Staff at reception and the breakfast counter were kind and friendly.

The room was comfortable and really clean, and breakfast was tasty. The staff were lovely, with some of the best service we've had in Germany. It's about a six-minute walk from the train station and ten minutes from the old city of rotenburg.

We visited Hotel Merian in December 2023 as a family of four. Our two teenagers had fun having hotel rooms of their own for a while, while the parents got a bit of space to regain our sanity. We were given two single rooms and one double, all adjoining, which worked out really well. The rooms were clean, bright, and smoke-free. We loved our stay and recommend giving it a try. The town center is at most a 15-20 minute walk away, as the attached map shows.
