Pension Birgit

We entered the wrong dates for our stay and called the owner right away, then cancelled within ten minutes. He kept the 70 euros, declined our calls, and told us by text to book somewhere else because it was our mistake. That didn't feel like the fair, kind hospitality you'd hope for. I'd look elsewhere.

I've stayed at Pension Birgit three times with my child, and I can't imagine a better location. The house is small, with lots of authentic architectural details from earlier times. The rooms are tidy, and the hostess is a lovely, helpful woman. I'd recommend it to solo travelers and small families without hesitation.

When I came down with Chickenpox in Rothenburg, Pension Birgit was the only place that would take me because everyone there had already had Windpocken. I spent a week there, and the care was some of the best hospitality I've ever received. They treated me like their own child, and I'll always remember their kindness. The place is clean and homely. They let me choose meals at any time of day, even though I think the rent only included breakfast. Their chicken soup and unlimited wifi helped me get through the illness with very little trouble. I'd definitely stay again, this time with my family.

Brigitte is a lovely lady, and she really is the spirit of the place she owns and runs. The rooms are tiny, but clean and comfortable. The location is a 10.
