IntercityHotel Berlin Airport Area North

🇱🇰❤️ The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the stay. We checked in around 3:00 PM on 28th December 2025, in a standard double room. The receptionist on duty was kind and helpful, and made the check-in smooth and pleasant. It'd be even better if each room had sachets of tea, coffee, and sugar to improve guest satisfaction. Still, it was a very good stay, and I'd happily recommend the hotel.

The restaurant food was excellent, and everything was pleasant and well organized thanks to the staff. I had a very comfortable stay at this surprisingly good hotel near Berlin Airport. Highly recommended.

We chose this particular hotel for our dog over New Year's Eve because we thought fireworks were banned in the airport area. We were wrong. The room itself was quiet, but firecrackers kept going off nearby from 15:00 onwards, and it was impossible to leave the hotel. We'll find somewhere else next year.

We'd just flown in from the States for an American football game that evening. When we tried to check in at 10am, the front desk woman said no rooms were ready, not even a paid upgrade, despite sending me five emails over the previous five days offering an upgrade. She made us nap in the "lounge". On the way to the bathroom, signs sent us the wrong way, and employees in the breakfast area yelled at us to get out. We then saw her playing on her phone when she could have been cleaning a room. An hour later she said a room had opened, but early entry would cost 30 euro, over half what we paid for the night. She showed no sympathy or empathy, and I'm sure it was because we were American. When we asked about transport and food, the blunt answers were "train" and "sir, you are by the airport area. There is no food". I can't urge people enough to stay far away. Pay extra to go elsewhere. Fellow Americans, skip the intercity brand and choose Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, or another well-known chain. Anyone but Intercity!
