Pirbau, Germany, is a charming little place with attractions of its own.

Our food came out bit by bit, and the portions were really small. We'd booked several tables for a party, but there was only one kitchen worker on duty. The owner had left, presumably for safety reasons.

The selection at the so-called winter market was very limited. I don't think a €5 entrance fee was justified, and we left disappointed.

That pub is a dream, especially with the open fire 🔥 in the fireplace. The owner is incredibly friendly and entertaining, the service is great, and the food is a culinary delight. Prices are perfectly reasonable. I'm looking forward to hiking here from Burgthann this summer. I've heard the beer garden is fantastic, so I'll send an update then.
