This hostel works well for both groups of friends and people traveling alone. The welcoming staff speak English, Russian, and German, and can answer questions and explain what’s worth seeing in Garmisch. There are lots of different spaces in the house, so people can find somewhere that suits their group or just themselves. Everyone is friendly, and it’s easy to meet people and have a good time celebrating New Year. It’s also handy if you’re coming for the ski jumping competition. Skiers can pick up a free bus ticket at the hostel, then ride for half an hour to reach the slopes.
