This place has been around for over 125 years, with four generations of one family providing quality accommodation. The hotel and restaurant are a real gem. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, and they let us check in early. There are nice big balconies, and the restaurant is on the ground floor, with both indoor and outdoor dining. The menu has homemade dishes, and the service was professional and friendly. It's sad to hear that the family plans to sell in the coming year, though the new owners intend to keep the establishment going. So many old family places are closing. Times, the workforce, and the economy have an effect. Highly recommend it while it's still run this way.

The only disappointment was dinner. When I went to the restaurant, they told me I needed a reservation, even though it was almost empty. I ended up eating in town instead. For my one night before flying home, check-in was quick and easy, there was plenty of parking outside, and breakfast was fine. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from town, and there's an old railway line converted into a walking trail right beside it. It's well worth a stroll.

I was surprised by how good the food was at the hotel restaurant. All three dishes we tried were extraordinary and delicious. The hotel itself is very nice and traditional, and my room was clean with a good bed. I'd recommend the place, and the restaurant is a must try!

Nice place, though it didn't feel intimate enough for a family dinner. It would be ideal for a large event such as a wedding.

We stayed for 4 nights with a group of motoriders, and that was ideal. It's a perfect base for exploring the region, with friendly people, a good choice at breakfast, and good food for dinner.
