The staff were courteous and parking was fine, and the property was clean. Still, I expected more from a hotel associated with the Golf brand. The tiles felt old and cheap, the bathroom fell short of the standard I had in mind, the washbasin was outside the room, and the lighting wasn't good enough. At 179 euros a night for a double, I expect at least a four-star standard. Playing golf was enjoyable, though. Not for me.

The location worked really well, close to shops and supermarkets. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and I especially remember Madam Andrea Kunz for the effort she put into providing a great breakfast. A very nice hotel and a great place to stay.

The rooms cost a lot, especially when the bathrooms feel more like something from a two-star hotel. The location is good for playing golf, though.

The lake is still empty, which was disappointing, but the hotel itself was great. We had a smooth check-in, and when we reported plumbing trouble in our first room, they moved us efficiently to another. Our bikes had secure storage. The sauna was busy but nice, and both the dinner buffet and breakfast were good. Staff were friendly and the service was good.

We played golf all three days, and the welcome at the Wiesensee club was amazing too. If you like a beautiful, challenging course in this lovely part of Germany, it's a must. We had a great weekend with friends at the hotel, and the staff were very friendly and did their best to make it relaxed and enjoyable. The rooms aren't new, but they were clean and had a great view. Breakfast was great, and we had dinner once, a very good buffet.
