You know what to expect here: the standard is much like other B&B Hotels, which makes booking easy and the stay comfortable. But the rooms could use a few basics. There were no ceramic cups or glasses, and some rooms lacked a proper chair or a place to hang a towel in the bathroom. In mine, a loud fan-like air system in the bathroom ran constantly.

There’s a 24-hour garage next door selling pastries and other things, and the Porsche and Mercedes museums are close enough to walk to. The hotel is about 1.5 miles from the city centre, with rail and bus links nearby. Rooms are well kept and appointed, and the place is clean and tidy. The security setup helped me feel safe. Reasonably priced, and a good stay for a visit to Stuttgart.

The bed and bathroom were good, and the stay was solid enough. Booking on the website was easy and user friendly, which prompted me to join B&Bme. But the room I’d reserved was still occupied by someone sleeping, with clothes everywhere. Reception didn’t believe me at first, then offered another room on the same floor. During late check-out, I saw reception unattended for a full hour while a long line of new guests waited, including someone needing wheelchair access. The process for keeping track of available rooms needs improvement.

The restaurant next door is great, but I can’t recommend the hotel. It was much like other B&B Hotels I’ve stayed at, though a Stuttgart trade show meant I paid more than ever for a similar place. The beds were uncomfortable, and for a business trip it felt like just somewhere to sleep. With most of the process automated and little staff involvement, it’s hard to give the service a good rating. I seriously doubt I’d stay there again.
