Radisson Blu Hotel At Porsche Design Tower Stuttgart

The Junior Suite cost a premium, but we didn’t feel the stay justified the price or offered good value. Parking was the biggest problem. Spaces for hotel guests were very limited because they were shared with the Porsche Service Centre and other businesses in the building. With young children and several bags, this was especially inconvenient. We were eventually sent to a car park near the Ibis Budget, which seemed to have more spaces than this 4-star hotel. The place felt more set up for corporate events and convention guests than for families or leisure travellers. We were also uneasy when housekeeping cleaned our room and took the room card from its slot without telling us. The lack of communication raised concerns about safety and guest assurance. The building is modern, well refurbished and has panoramic city views, so our first impression was promising, but the guest experience and day-to-day operations fell short.

The corner room had amazing views, and there’s a nice park nearby. The public transport stop is only a few minutes away on foot, and the hotel was less Porsche themed than I expected. The room cleanliness wasn’t quite up to what you’d expect here, with a few minor issues. The AC also stopped working on our last night. Since maintenance wasn’t working on Sundays, we received compensation, and the customer service was 11/10. I might stay here again if I’m back in Stuttgart.

The bar was a real highlight. The bartenders were fantastic, with delicious drinks and great bar bites. The main restaurant was a letdown, though. Breakfast and lunch had limited choices, and the service wasn’t attentive. I had to ask three times for a bottle of water. The Porsche design elements and the building itself are beautiful, but some shared areas weren’t as clean as I expected. There was broken glass in the hallway, and even after asking the front desk twice, it wasn’t vacuumed promptly. We had our dog with us, so that was worrying and could easily have caused an accident. I stayed four nights, and despite the mixed experience, I’d consider coming back.

Breakfast had a great range and was excellent, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable and beautifully looked after. The staff were genuinely friendly and professional. Every detail seemed well considered, and the cleanliness and care were consistently high. A very comfortable hotel, highly recommended.
