Awesome.

The location is fantastic, and the mattresses were surprisingly good given the furniture. The apartment was clean, though furnished very simply and haphazardly. We paid €90 plus tourist tax for one night for two adults, which seemed okay for Lake Titisee prices. Breakfast was included, served as a buffet at Hotel Rauchfang, where we checked in, and it was fine. Check-in there went smoothly, and the gentleman was very friendly and accommodating. There were a few things that shouldn't have been there: the shower cubicle was missing a whole panel, the bedside lampshades in apartment 4 were disgusting to look at, and the bed linen had holes. There's room for improvement. The TV was tiny, about 15-17 inches, which was kind of cute.

For €80 for a double room for two adults, it was okay. The view through the large window over Red Square was very nice, and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was adequate, with bread, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, muesli, juices, eggs, and the usual basics. It's sufficient if you just need a place to sleep. The reception is in a different building up the street, or in the ice cream parlor around the corner, and they could answer the phone more reliably when you have questions. The rooms are worn and have seen better days. The towels felt stiff after only 500 washes, and there was no hairdryer. The bedroom was so-so, the bed frame was loose until my husband fixed it, and there was hair on the sofa. The carpet was about 2 mm thin and so worn it could've been a painter's drop cloth.
