The vintage feel gives it the look of a typical old place, though some of the tables aren't comfortable. The fries were just average, and the meat was nowhere near acceptable. I've eaten much better elsewhere, and the food quality doesn't justify the price.

That goulash soup was such a huge serving I was still full two hours later! We had a big table to ourselves, which worked well with our playful kids who needed room. The waiters were friendly, the wait wasn't long, and I really liked the atmosphere.

The Kraft Bräu Dark beer had a taste like rye bread, amazing. We even came back, just as we said we would. The local food was delicious and expertly made: my bacon dumplings were wonderful, and the pork cutlets with eggs were so good. Service was quick and friendly.

We came for lunch, sat outside, and found a nice menu with seasonal ingredients. In early September, that meant chanterelle mushrooms. This place feels like a Trier institution, and we'll definitely return.

The schnitzel was absolutely awesome, and the food was really good in general. Wirtshaus zur glock had a pleasant atmosphere and was clean, with helpful staff and good service. It cost more than the online listing suggested, but the quality made it good value. The wine was nice and inexpensive too. Highly recommended.
