Domizil Tuebingen

I appreciated the high-quality organic products in the bathroom. Hotel Domizil is stylish and comfortable, right by the Neckar river, and my room was thoughtfully designed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was fresh, varied, and excellent. A lovely stay in Tübingen. I’d happily come back.

The clerk’s response to my late check-out request was an angry, shouted “No!” They didn’t have to allow it, but that reaction was completely uncalled for and not what I’d call modern customer service. I’d give service 1 out of 5. I still gave the hotel two stars because it saved me that night: it was the only one in Tübingen I could find that still let me book at 4 a.m. My Airbnb had the wrong lock code, and after a delayed train I arrived late and was scrambling for somewhere to stay. The price was reasonable-ish at 129 EUR.

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the room overlooking the Neckar was lovely. I’ve stayed here twice, and both visits were excellent. I hope I get to come back sometime.

The terrace by the river is nice, and parking is close by. The rooms were clean, and the location is great. For my taste, it was a little dark.
