The food was great and well priced, and the place has a cosy, authentic German feel. There was just one waiter covering the whole room, but he was quick, efficient, and still friendly. Our drinks came without a wait. I’d recommend it.

We had a lovely evening here, with good wine, beer, and superb food. The restaurant was busy, but the service was excellent. We were staying at the hotel opposite, which has no restaurant, and had been sent here by recommendation. We first popped in to ask if they could fit five of us in; they asked us to come back in half an hour, which worked fine. Highly recommended.

Breakfast had plenty of choice, including vegan options, and was served in a charming, well-preserved old gasthaus room. Our room was cosy and spacious, with free parking at the property. The place has been newly renovated, mixing old and new nicely, and sits in a picturesque village setting. We arrived very late, but the receptionist came out into the cold to give us our key. Apparently Napoleon Bonaparte stayed here in 1805.
