Kurpark Warnemünde

What a great spot.

Super junior suite.

We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the Kurparkhotel. It’s beautifully maintained, with a charming interior, and we felt very comfortable there. Staff were attentive and friendly. Our room had an entry area with a wardrobe, plus a combined living and sleeping space. The swivel TV could be watched from the bed, sofa, or armchair. There was also a mini-fridge, a kettle with accessories, and a bathtub in the bathroom. We had reserved parking, and breakfast left nothing to be desired. They freshly prepared scrambled or fried eggs and brought them to the table; there was sparkling wine and a range of juices, and the tables were nicely decorated.

The staff were otherwise friendly and breakfast was good, but we won’t be coming back. With so many places to stay in Warnemünde, we’ll choose another hotel next time, even at €177 per night. The worst part was the owner’s attitude. My 83-year-old mother and I were left standing outside the locked front door in the dark for 40 minutes one night because reception was closed. On the third night, our keys for the main entrance stopped working. After several tries and phone calls, an employee came and immediately, irritably accused us of mishandling both keys. It turned out a colleague had made a mistake checking us out, but the employee stayed accusatory and didn’t apologize. She said it wasn’t the first time this had happened. The next morning, the owner first brushed us off, saying mistakes happen. Of course they do, but she showed no interest in making sure we were comfortable for the rest of our stay. After a heated discussion, she finally waived one day’s parking fee. That’s a questionable way for a manager to treat guests.
