We only had to stay here for one night, and we put up with it. Reaching the reception is difficult. The hotel is old, and the pillows were very bad. The toilet paper was poor quality, and the sockets wouldn't charge our devices. I can't really say whether the room was clean or dirty. Getting around was also difficult. The tram stop is a 15-20 minute walk away, and there were no taxis or UBER.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean, but small and stuffy, with no air conditioning even though it was over 30 degrees outside. Trucks started passing by around 5 am, since the hotel sits on an industrial estate just behind the Swiss border control. It's a good place to stop while passing through, but I'd look elsewhere for a stay of several days.

A small hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a fresh breakfast. It's across from Lidl and close enough to Basel to avoid Swiss prices. A perfect hidden gem!
