The staff were especially lovely and ready to help with anything, and I even met a very friendly cat outside (in photo). This atmospheric building has cosy rooms that look over a lovely garden and terrace. There’s lots of quirky decor, especially the giant light-up horse facing the street. Musicians might find the practice rooms with pianos in the building out back especially handy if they’re in town for an audition and need to warm up. I’d recommend it.

We were a university class of 25 on a trip to Weimar, and choosing Hummel Hostel turned out to be fantastic. The garden and terrace overlooking the street are lovely, and everything was clean. Shower water temperature was easy to adjust. Manager Frau Ute was easy to reach whenever we had even the simplest question. I can only recommend the place.

There’s plenty of space to enjoy your stay in this beautifully kept building full of character. It’s very close to the main square and shops. The staff kept everything very clean and were kind and happy to help with requests. I’ll definitely be back :)

The kitchen is kept extremely clean, the breakfast we ordered was AMAZING, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed at this Hostel twice, and it’s by far one of the best places in Weimar, as well as one of the most sanitary. My friends and I had some of our most fun there ever. It’s not far from an amazing town, and I recommend the place to all my friends!

A single room isn’t a great choice because it’s still noisy. The building has a historical feel, almost like an Allan Poe novel, with a beautiful public space and a good kitchen. The decorations have a distinct, particular taste. It was a very different experience.
