It feels like a proper tavern, so anyone into role-playing games should feel at home. The owners are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and there’s always room to sit at the bar and have a beer. Prices are fair, with an Edeka supermarket right across the street, and they make you feel like a guest rather than just a customer. The owner was also really helpful and explained how I could get to my destination the next day. Just keep in mind that it’s partly a smoking establishment. If you don’t want to smell of smoke, you might want to think twice. I’m a smoker myself, so for me that’s a plus. 👍🏼

You may only find a room here in an emergency, when the alternative is sleeping outside. Since the place is a smoking restaurant, guests have to go through the check-in process.

For €57.50 a night, this was unbelievable. The room was filthy, the towels smelled musty, and the shower had mold. There was no shower gel or hairdryer. The frozen food the night before and the poor breakfast weren't much better. The worst part was seeing men at the bar just after 6 a.m., rolling dice and drinking beer and schnapps. A quiet breakfast was out of the question. Maybe the owner should think about getting out of the hotel business.
