Scandic Copenhagen

The location worked well, about a 5 minute walk from Vesterport Station and around 10 minutes from Central Station. There are nice restaurants nearby and a 7 11 just up the road. We stayed four nights at the Scandic Copenhagen and really enjoyed it. Our room was a good size, clean, and very quiet for sleeping. We were lucky to get a nice view of the planetarium and lakes. I’d definitely recommend it as a budget friendly Copenhagen hotel.

The lake opposite the hotel was lovely for our morning walks, and the location couldn’t be more convenient, with everything accessible on foot and train and métro stations within walking distance, which mattered after a long flight. The hotel felt very safe, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the room facilities were excellent. It was extremely clean, with comfortable beds, very warm duvets, and a great shower. For one night, most of our stay was good, and the front desk gave top tier service and was very helpful. The restaurant was another story. The food was absolutely terrible: the noodles were overcooked, and the chicken and vegetables were ice cold, as if they’d served us yesterday’s leftover linguine and veggies. Restaurant service was subpar too. We couldn’t even get a napkin for the meal.

The breakfast, pillows, bathroom, bed, and room were all just there. Nothing disappointed me, but nothing raised my dopamine levels either. This place has somehow achieved flatline neutrality. I’m back in my country wondering if I even went there. 🤷‍♀️
