Hotel Gran Real Punta Cana

The hotel itself gets 2/5 from me. It was a bit dirty and didn't seem well maintained. The reason for my 1 star was the staff, who showed no interest in helping guests. Only the woman serving breakfast was polite.

We only stayed about 12 hours after a problem with our flight home forced us to book somewhere for the night, and this place was horrible. It felt like a cheap motel. The sheets were stained and dirty, and there were mosquitoes and little lizards in the room. In one room, the windows wouldn't lock, and the door chain was broken. The water smelled like sewage, and they don't flush toilet paper there. There was a bar just feet away, with music blaring and drunk people making noise all night. If you need somewhere to stay overnight, look for a better option. I'd rather sleep on the airport floor.

I've spent my life staying in hotels around the world for work and pleasure, and this was the worst one. The service was bad. A woman at the front desk had poor customer service, so I kept away from reception.

The staff were very professional. I'll definitely stay here again soon 👌🏼
