Hotel El Galeon

The owner's husband was very kind, but our experience had some problems. The hostel is nice, though they don't clean the rooms daily and breakfast has no fruit. On our last day we weren't served breakfast because the owner said she was very busy and had a lot to do. If they want more guests, they should put guests first and allow payment to be processed later. 👎🏻

The kitchen was quite good and had all the utensils we needed, the price was much lower than elsewhere, and the gentleman who served us was always friendly. But the place is a bit run down, with sheets and towels that aren't changed, and it needs better organization and cleaning. The beach is two blocks away, though it was neglected too, with broken glass, animal waste, and some trash. It could be a nice beach with a little more effort. The pandemic probably hit the local economy hard, which may explain the repairs that are needed.

Breakfast and snacks were delicious, and you can use the hotel kitchen. There's also tricycle taxi service around the clock. It's two blocks from the beach, and a lovely place to get away with family. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and the rooms have Wi-Fi, cable TV, and fans.

The people are very friendly and the place is lovely, but it needs maintenance and cleaning. The facilities seem quite neglected, a big change from previous years.
