We were pretty disappointed with our stay. Are these reviews fake? The room was dirty, the windows were cracked and let bugs in, and I found spiders in each of the three rooms we were shown. I killed the ones in our room, then heard the staff member tell a coworker there was nothing there when we complained. In the third room, the bathroom smelled of mold or mildew. Their explanation was that they’d missed those rooms, hadn’t cleaned them in a while, and no one stayed in them. I know this is a wild natural region, but rooms should be cleaned before guests arrive. Maybe they think that’s acceptable for $30-35 a night, but the $19 hostels we’ve stayed in weren’t crawling with spiders.

The rooms were nice, big, and clean, and the American breakfast and cleaning service were both very good. There’s an amazing restaurant called el Carbonero across the street. The one downside, and why I gave four stars, is that the hotel is four blocks from the city center.

For the price, this hotel was excellent value. It was right in front of the waterfalls, and the room was incredibly clean. The receptionist was welcoming, informative, and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was large and nice, and breakfast was included. It’s about a five-minute walk to the center, though being close to the road means there’s a little noise. The staff were friendly as well.

A good option for a short or long stay, near the waterfall of baños. The rooms are clean, and the location is peaceful, close to the mountain with a very good view.
